I. What is a Platform?
The Platform is the focus area within a workspace that hosts your Programs. It serves as a dedicated website that participants visit to browse different opportunities, such as innovation challenges, hackathons or awards.
Platforms help you organize initiatives under specific themes or business functions, making it easier for both organizers and participants to navigate. Multiple platforms can be created within a single Workspace to address different needs or focus areas, such as innovation, CSR, or talent development.
Best Practices
Use Platforms to represent specific categories or themes (e.g., CSR, Innovation, Marketing), making it easy to group related programs under a clear focus.
Use Platforms to keep track of ongoing or recurring activities, such as continuous idea collection or customer feedback initiatives.
Group your Programs into Platforms that reflect key business areas, project types, or even specific clients. This ensures each Platform addresses distinct goals and audiences.
II. How to Create a Platform
Access the Workspaces Menu: On the left-hand side of your dashboard, find and click on the "Workspaces" menu.
Select Your Workspace: Choose the Workspace where you want to host the new Platform.
Create a New Platform: In the middle of the page, click on New Platform to begin the setup process.
Configure Platform Settings: Fill in the following required details for your new Platform.
Logo: Upload your platform's logo. This image will be visible on the public website.
Platform Title: Enter a descriptive name for your Platform. (This title will appear as the Site Title in the user browser and on search engines.)
Email: This is the default admin email and will receive all platform notifications.
Default Language: Select the primary language for your platform. (You can always add more languages later.)
Timezone: Choose the appropriate timezone. (This will affect the deadlines of your Programs, though you can adjust the timezone on a Program level later.)
Platform URL: Set the custom URL for your platform. (The default format is a sub-domain, but you can opt for a custom domain based on your subscription plan.)
5. Review Platform Options: Once created, the Platform will appear on your dashboard with two immediate options:
Manage: Modify settings, add programs, and manage workflows.
View: Preview how the Platform looks from the visitors' and participants' perspective.
