Building Course Content

Organize your curriculum into structured learning paths by creating Units and detailed Lessons.

Updated over 2 months ago

I. Creating Units and Lessons

  • Units: These are the high-level chapters of your course. Click + Add Unit in the top right to create a new module. Units appear as numbered tabs at the top of the workspace.

  • Lessons: These are the specific pages within a unit. Click + Add Lesson within a unit sub-header to begin building specific topics.

II. Designing Lesson Content

The About tab is where you host your primary educational material.

  • Lesson Title: Provide a clear name for the topic at the top of the editor.

  • Content Editor: Build your content using the same comprehensive rich text toolbar and media integration tools featured in the course overview.

III. Building Quizzes

Use the Quiz tab to create automated knowledge checks using the Form Builder.

A. AI Assistant

The AI Assistant provides a high-speed alternative to manual setup. By clicking the AI Assistant button in the top right corner of the designer, you can automatically generate relevant quiz questions based on specific prompts about your form's purpose and target audience.

B. Manual Quiz Construction

  • The Designer: Drag and drop question types from the sidebar onto the canvas, including Checkboxes, Ranking, Radio Button Groups, Rating Scales, Dropdowns, and Yes/No toggles.

  • Setting Correct Answers: For the quiz to be graded automatically, you must define the correct answer within the data settings of each question. This allows the system to instantly evaluate performance and calculate participant progress.

  • Timer: Ensure you set a Timer for the quiz so that participants complete the assessment within a designated timeframe.

  • Logic & Translations: Configure conditional rules under the Logic tab or offer the quiz in different languages via the Translations tab.

IV. Creating Assignments

For lessons requiring hands-on work or document submissions, use the Assignment tab. This section allows you to collect tangible evidence of a participant's progress.

  • AI Assistant Utilization: Just like with quizzes, you can use the AI Assistant button to generate assignment prompts. By providing a prompt about your lesson’s goals, the AI can automatically create relevant tasks and instructions for the participants.

  • Manual Construction: You can manually build your assignment using the designer to drag and drop elements.

  • File Upload Question: Adding this allows participants to submit their work for review.

  • Configuring Upload Types: Within the question general settings, you can specify how participants provide their evidence by choosing between a Local file, using their Camera, or allowing Local file or Camera.

V. Managing Lesson Settings

The Settings tab defines the administrative parameters for the individual lesson.

  • Total Learning Hours: Specify the estimated time a participant should spend on this specific lesson.

  • Lesson Instructors: Use the dropdown menu to assign specific subject matter experts responsible for this lesson.

  • Quiz Retakes: Tick the Allow quiz retake checkbox to give participants multiple attempts at the lesson’s assessment.
